Potential of actinobacteria as biocontrol agents to Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae in vitro

Abstract Xanthomans oryzae pv. (Xoo) is a pathogen that causes bacterial leaf blight in rice plants.Biological control using microorganisms, one of which incorporates actinobacteria, the most extensively used techniques. This work aimed to find actinobacteria isolates from can inhibit Xoo growth vitro. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed this experiment, with 14 treatments and three replications. There are 13 used: Act-Hr 49, 21, 24, Act-Pha 4, Act-Mn2, Act-LB3, Act Pha 2.3, 3.4, 3.3, 47, 3.5, Act-Krj Act-SK2 (Xoo without Actinobacteria treatment). The ability actinobacterial reduce vitro enzyme activity each isolate were measured. study revealed isolates, Act-Pha4, could potentially suppress bacteria’s inhibition indices ranging 12 mm 15 Act-LB3 produced catalase enzyme, while Act-Pha4 both protease enzyme. results indicate rhizosphere produce antibacterial metabolites activity.
